Gordon/Gillian Young: The truth about her secret life as 60’s sex symbol Gilda Greene
In an exclusive @ction! interview, Oscar winning actor Gordon Young admitted to what many had figured out in the aftermath of her family’s sex changepalooza, Forever Young… that Gordon had been before the cameras as a woman several decades earlier. As sex kitten Gilda Greene, Young starred in several B-films in the late 60s and early 70s, including some from the Corwin Rogers catalogue.
“It was quite the buzz now – can you imagine what it would have been like in 1972? “ the now 65 year old transbeauty wistfully told us. “My dear wife Willa was the one who convinced me to try to make a movie as a woman. And she had no problem with men lusting over me, or even going back to their place. Corwin and I had a wonderful relationship, he was so sexy.”
So why did Gilda disappear after 1974’s chopper flick Killer Buzzards of Nevada?
“Well, Willa had just given birth to Felix, and suddenly, all of this guilt of manhood kicked in. That’s what so great about what’s happened to me, Faith and Marlee. We’re now free to be girls, and I’m going to enjoy being a well-dressed, pretty older woman on the arm of a handsome man.”
